Apple Mac OS X Server SSL Installation<\/h2>\n

The followings steps make for a quick guide to help you install an SSL certificate in Apple Mac OS X Server.<\/p>\n

Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once your order is issued, store the yourhostname.zip file into your server, and extract both your Primary Certificate (yourhostname.cert<\/strong>) and Intermediate Certificate (certificateauthority.crt<\/strong>) in the same folder.<\/p>\n

Step 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, Double click on Intermediate Certificate and choose import option from the pop-box of \u2018Add Certificate\u2019, then select \u2018System\u2019 option from \u2018Keychain\u2019 drop down menu and click on \u2018Add Button\u2019 to perform the import process.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> For the next step of Import process, you need to add administrator credential to validate changes.<\/p>\n

Step 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

After import process, open your Apple Mac OS X Server and then click on \u2018Certificates\u2019. Now select the setting option and choose \u2018Add Signed or Renewed Certificate from Certificate Authority\u2019 in that drop down menu.<\/p>\n

Step 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once you choose the option \u2019Add Signed or Renewed Certificate from Certificate Authority\u2019 from the Settings, it will show all the details about the existing certificate or the new certificate. Now you have to drag your Primary Certificate (yourhostname.cert) into the pop window, which you have seen while selecting the option \u2019Add Signed or Renewed Certificate from Certificate Authority\u2019 from setting.<\/p>\n

Step 5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now click the \u2018OK\u2019 button when you complete Primary Certificate (yourhostname.cert) drag and drop process.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s it. Your SSL Certificate is now installed on the Apple Mac OS X Server.<\/p>\n

1. Allocation of SSL Certificate to Mail Services<\/h4>\n

Click on the \u2019Mail\u2019 option which you can see on the left side of window. Now, open setting options of mail, and then click on Advanced and then Security option. From Security option, you can assign installed SSL Certificate to SMTP or IMAP Services.<\/p>\n
